Do any of you have photos of yourself in Jantzen shirts that Ricky got right? Whether from luck or from a bunch of back-and-forth? Show 'em!

It's not that I'm sick of Jantzen critiques -- it's more that I'd like to see what happens after all the critiquing and reordering and altering is done. With all of the critique threads it's easy to get the idea that you never end up with a shirt that fits, so I'd like to see where things eventually end up. (It's also that I'd like a photo essay on the fit of a shirt and this is a neat way to get one.

I hope to show you a Jantzen success - if it ever arrives. Ricky told me my shirt was sent 5 weeks ago (magically, soon after I followed up with a call) and wants to wait to see whether it gets returned to him. Still nothing tangible to report on my shirt ordered on Aug. 2.

I have a number of successes but I don't feel like photographing them.

As someone who's had a positive experience with Jantzen, I don't think one can draw any conclusions from the lack of pics. It's a hassle to post pics on the Web, and there's really no incentive to do so here other than to be helpful. I could post some pics of one of mine, but doing so would require me to put on my shirt, add a tie, find someone to take a picture, download the picture to my computer, crop it and Photoshop it, upload it to Photobucket, then link it here and risk public criticism.

If it weren't December, one of the busiest times of the year, I might be more inclined to do so, to help out, but I haven't the time now, and probably won't until after the holidays.

There was a similar "show me your shoes/socks" thread over at the London Lounge, and it didn't take off either.

Aren't there some Jantzens in the picture thread?

Indeed. I'll try to post pictures once I get a replacement cable for my camera, which is proving tricky.

I just received six shirts, numbers 22 through 27 for me. Aside from the use of really thin MOP buttons (disappointing, but not the end of the world), they are the best I've had. Ricky moved the second button up so they look better without a tie and let out the collar a little so they are more comfortable with one. That's a lot of money to go through to get a good fit, but I do have 27 wearable shirts - I'm wearing #1 today.

Just as an aside, it appears I'm off of the Jantzen shitlist. I've been e-mailing back and forth with Ricky the past couple of days with respect to some of the details on a shirt I tried ordering in November, and it appears that it's on its way to being done. We'll see.

You think it's easy to take pictures for the what are you wearing thread? Or for me, or to an even greater extent aportnoy, to spend the hours it takes to take a picture of entire shoe collection? Jesus, throw on a shirt, take a picture and upload it online.

A forum is only as strong as its participants' contributions.

Oh, that's nonsense. Pics aren't the only way to contribute to the forum. And as much as I appreciate the effort that goes into the shoe collection pics, and the WAYW thread, let's not kid ourselves, there's plenty of backpatting as a reward/incentive. No one looks at a pic of an AE and compares it to a bespoke shoe, the way some would try to compare a Jantzen and a bespoke shirt.

Also, I don't recall anyone previously being expected to post pictures on demand.

OK, I've rummaged around in my Photobucket and found some very old, very poor quality pics. Don't want to be a forum non-contributor.

This was my first Jantzen, with no tweaking whatsoever. All self measurement. And the pics were taken after a long day of wear, so cut me some slack.
