1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

They definitely look more olive in real life compared to the images I've seen.

Anyone have experience machine washing/drying EG cotton jackets?

Just got an older Bedford that could certainly use a wash, but a little shrinkage from a dryer wouldn't hurt. For what it's worth, I wash/dry anything I own that's cotton.

I've washed a ripstop jacket on a cool wash and it was fine, but I hang dry rather than use dryers.

I've done both. No issues, but drying in a dryer could produce some fading/marking depending on the type of cotton. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Thanks for the replies! I think I'm gonna give it a go. The fabric is a slightly spongy HBT-ish weave and it's a little faded to begin with. Hopefully it works out alright.

Shitty photo while hitting thrift/secondhand stores yesterday. Stoked to finally own a Bedford, I now fully understand why everyone loves them.

Looking good. Try it buttoned up all the way as well. It's pretty cool that way.
