Should PVH split into two companies?

Considering that VF split into two companies focusing on different fashion categories, I was wondering, do you think PVH should split in two? If it were to happen, the way I would structure it would be one company focusing on sportswear and dresswear, and the other focusing on jeans, intimate apparel, and swimwear. The sportswear and dresswear company would be known as Tommy Hilfiger Inc. and would include the Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, IZOD, Arrow, and Geoffrey Beene brands and would be led by current PVH CEO Emanuel Chirico, while the jeans, intimates, and swimwear company would be known as Calvin Klein Inc. and would consist of the Calvin Klein, Warners, Olga, True&Co, and Speedo brands and would be led by current PVH President Stefan Larsson.

Does anyone think this split would be best for the future of the PVH brands by each company focusing on specific market segments?

Divestitures are pretty complex and the reasons you brought up are not really that applicable when considering one.

Remember though with VF the separation was the jeans business from the outdoors/workwear business, with VF retaining the latter.
