dunno what's going on with my local goodwill but about month ago I found a gorgeous, recent charcoal brioni suit ($60) in pristine condition, two brooks brothers golden fleece suits in similar condition ($25) and a bunch of brook brothers makers shirts ($5).

stopped in yesterday and found 15 new turnbull and asser 2nds (labels had a black marker through the name but it was easily readable). They were all marked $25, all in great condition and I couldn't find any flaws. Unfortunately, they were all size 14.5.

Thinking these should sell for at least $75 on the bay, maybe if I bought all 15 they'd give me a discount. However my sense is that 14.5 will be hard to sell and maybe $75 is too high an asking price?

    thoughts?

14.5 - not worth the hassle; if they were 15 then worth doing (not at $75 though) but with 14.5 you would have to be very lucky

I can squeeze into a 14.5.. If there is any way you can get pics I'd potentially be interested in buying a few.. Are they sea island quality? Any light blue, white, cream, or plain colored stripe (preferably navy or a shade of blue.. bengal, half bengal, and pinstripe are all fine) would be of interest. Do they have the signature three button cuff? The only thing I'm a little worried about is the black marker.. Even though indelible ink isn't supposed to run, sometimes it does, or at least can bleed through.. Lastly, what do you mean by "2nds".. second hand? Thanks!

Edit: This isn't a goodwill in or around NYC by any chance, is it? :)

NYK - Just in case it's of interest, I have a bunch of T&A shirts in 14.5 that I bought in the sale from the Jermyn st store which I am looking to sell. They are a mix of plain white and blue (all double cuff) with a couple of sea island quality. They're completely unworn but have been washed once (long story short - i bought them in the sale, washed them once to get any shrinkage out of the way before I had a tailor tweak them slightly, but then moved to HK and ended up getting all my shirts made bespoke there and so had no need for the T&A's anymore). Let me know if interested and I can PM you details. Dib Edit: just to clarify, I didn't end-up getting the T&A's altered after washing them, so they are as they were when purchased.
