Shout out to J Cole for wearing it, although he styled it a bit on the small size

Looking at getting a Private White VC flight jacket... The choice is between navy and herringbone. What would you get?

I like them both...
What do you have more of in your closet?
I would guess the answer to that is navy, if so go the other way.

Both look pretty great. Hard call. Navy would probably be easier to just throw in and go, but herringbone is more interesting and still not exactly “hard” to wear.
Probably the first thing I’ve ever thought was cool from PW VC as well

Herringbone all the way. I don't think doeskin in darker colors is great for that kind of outerwear, it looks flat and shiny when it's new and it ages poorly. Imagine that bomber with fading spots, creases and lint all over, not good.

In my head I'm very committed to picking up a pair of Visvim Virgils but am not sure whether I should go with black or dark brown:

I'm leaning black but might as well solicit the internet's help.

Both good, I would go with whichever you would wear more with what you have. Alternatively, I'd go with whatever most badass leather jacket/outerwear you have to pair it with.

I am looking for a long relatively structured coat (can be double-breasted) in either navy or brown that looks similar to the Phlannel piece I attached below. Does anyone know brands who carry something like this? Phlannel doesn't seem to have a similar offering yet this season.

I need a fall outerwear I can dress up and down. Been thinking of the Baracuta G9. What's your thought? The herringbone one isn't 100% wool which is my only concern. The corduroy is 100% cotton.

Frank Leder might be a good option.

Sage de Cret also made some lighter weight long coats that drape like that last year
