Does anyone have experience with Dehen's Flyer's Club jacket? Is it thick, heavy and does the wax canvas change a lot with wear?

I can't find any thoughts/opinions online about their flight jacket, other than their worsted wool and cardigans.

Belts 1, 2, or 3? Belts 2 and 3 would be put on a vintage tan leather strap.

To be worn with jeans, RRL, workwear type fits.

Not so much a should I buy as should I (or can I) repair question: does anyone know how easy and/or costly (if DIY is out of the question) it would be to renovate something like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/717710510/genuine-leather-document-bag-vintage?ref=cart

I have a few portfolios and document holders of the standard varieties, but really like these midcentury former Soviet Eastern European versions for some reason.

@zissou - hate to flag you specifically here, but figured you might have valuable insight.

You can always repair something like that, but it takes some experience with leather to drill out rivets, replace panels or straps (including color matching), and restitching it. That said, at some point, old leather just needs to be retired from regular use. It will dry out and become very brittle and stiff.

I have a friend in her 80's who rides horses almost every day. I did a fairly major renovation of an old pair of saddle bags that she's used for decades. Just a couple days ago, she brought them back because one side had completely blown out. I don't have the heart to recommend she stop using them, so I just keep repairing them for her.

On a related note, I once had a pair of my grandfather's old Tyrolean shoes that I lovingly restored and had resoled. Shortly after I started wearing them, the leather completely split apart and I had to basically throw them in the trash.

My best advice is to find something more modern or have someone recreate a vintage bag in a modernly appropriate size.

Terrible photos but as someone that hates things that fit too small (when sitting, driving, drinking coffee, etc.) you should 100% go with the size 2

Although I believe the only noticeable difference between sizing in Homme Plisse pants is the length, so go with size 1 if you want it cropped

I live in the Bay Area and wear scarves with workwear. They're not always "needed." Sometimes I wear them just because of how they look in outfits.

I don't know. I feel like scarves are those things that you end up collecting over the years and enjoy wearing on occasion. Have some from like 20 years ago that I still wear.

FWIW, I find African indigo scarves go most easily with workwear, but it's hard to find ones that are long enough.
