Speaking of boots

@dieworkwear I found stock pics of the cowboy boots I own (French cowboys technically, missing the split shaft thingy etc). Mine are burgundy and black (I'd take some pics but they're in storage).First model has a slightly rounder toe.
If you feel like branching out at twice the price (as is SF tradition)

Thanks! Those are La Botte Gardiane, right? I remember seeing those in the DBF thread.

They look great. I already ordered the non-cowboy version of the Tecovas boots, so we'll see. Was thinking of wearing these with workwear and then maybe trying a slightly sleeker, obviously cowboy style boot down the road.

Yep.I think the DBF collab was the even rounder roper-ish model. No experience with that one but iirc someone here bought (and resold) a pair

Theyre well made and nice looking. The shaft is quite wide (inb4 twss) so they dont pair with slim pants.

Gotta have slim for certain fits . I do like wider pants more in general, but with certain tops slim looks better

Here's a couple of pics of my Floyds, pretty sure mine is that same exact model/colorway:

Stuff I'd think about:

• They look great with lighter or mixed palettes. You don't want to be wearing a dark ensemble with sparkly tan boots. Gray ones would be hard to pull off with mid-blue jeans imo because of insufficient contrast.
• They are a little shiny as you can see from the pics. If you are going for workwear and/or you want to beat them up bad, they might not be the ones. That said, I have worn mine often and with little care, and they look great.
• The color under direct sun is almost tan, while it gets to a mid-sometimes-dark-but-very-saturated brown in the shade.
• The leather is so soft… they are super comfortable and easy. They are my "lazy boots" now.

Yeah, I actually emailed them about that a while back, after this season's cancelation of those items, and they confirmed it should be coming in both jacket and vest formats. Unfortunately not in that fantastic taupe color, although the fabric they've chosen in place of that is also nice.

Yeah, that sounds familiar, although I don’t have a mental image of it. I think it’s exclusively taupe in their FW20 lookbook. I actually bought a Barbour quilted Liddesdale in a taupey brown moleskin (which may even have been what DBF is referencing with their version) when I found out there was no chance of the taupe DBF version happening. That said, very good chance I’m still a customer for their version when fall rolls around.

The taupe definitely looks a bit rusty, so probably the same one.
