I have yet to be convinced that there’s much better than a super soft fleece blanket if you’re just trying to stay cozy and warm. Best part is just chucking it in the washing machine when I spill coffee on it.

I feel like you have to at least visit the South before you can rock that.

I feel like people put too much cultural baggage with western wear. That **** looks rad, I'd wear it.

Although take that with a grain of salt. Im a Mexican born, Chicago raised, and live in Kyoto. You can catch me wearing cowboy boots 70% of the week.
I think it can come off as costume-ey. I grew up with horses in New England, I’ve always felt that the whole full cowboy shtick was extremely cringe worthy. Conversely, all the real cowboys I’ve met wore flannels and baseball caps.

But, yeah well I pulled the trigger and it’s on its way to my door.

South Western, not really Southern. Anyhow, my dad’s from Kansas, home of the real cowboys. Used to spend a month every Summer between Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

think that clears me?

Should do it!

Not so much the culture I was caring about, but just that western clothes have a kind of swagger in their own place of origin that's really worth experiencing, IMO.

I feel like it makes sense that someone from New England would find it cringe worthy. I grew up surrounded by vaquero culture/swagger, I hated it especially the machismo, but then as I became older I found myself really gravitating back to it especially the flamboyancy in it. Mexican vaqueros still go full on with the hats, boots, denim, embroidery etc.

I think almost everything becomes costume-y at some point, but maybe thats just what happens when an aesthetic becomes so recognizable. Either way hope you enjoy that shirt.
