Was looking at this to double as a rain jacket and casual. Thoughts? Any other suggestions for similar price range, ~$300?

Also looking for a technical jacket to wear in mild weather (50 - 75 Fahrenheit) for hiking, post workout, etc. that is more than just a super thin shell. Any recs? Thanks

Is this waterproof or quick dry? ****** needs to have goretex or quick dry since it sucks to be soaked and be deep into a walk.

Not sure if there are 2 versions. One is listed as DWR but doesn't list the materials and the other lists the materials and says it combines form and function on Snow Peak's website but doesn't say waterproof or anything. I found the same jacket on Ssense (listed materials are the same as the latter one) and it says windproof and water resistant.

Anyway here are the links:

Jacket looks to be meant for layering and fits big so I'm debating whether to size down one if I plan to wear it unzipped. It seems to fit like @zissou mentioned, too wide in the body and short for him. I think Zissou is like 6'3" 170 lbs or so and usually wears a medium?

Possibly not the best place for this, but anyone with experience with Unravel Project (tees, in this case)? I know a lot of streetwear brands are loose-fitting; I bought an XL, and I'm generally a L or an XL if it's slim-ish.

What do you guys think about these high waist trousers? Is there anyone selling this style of pant right now? Or will I have to wait for the FOG x Zegna collaboration to drop in September? I desperately want a pair of these! ???

@ghdvfddzgzdzg

Thanks - I looked at them rather closely. The challenge I have with them is no tapper in the leg at and early 18 inch leg openings creates almost a clown look IMHO. I just returned a pair of Wallace and Barnes chinos I otherwise loved but the leg opening was just comic for my taste.

Also, I’m trying to be rather disciplined to avoid anything that willrequire tailoring until I have a better understanding of how long the COVID situation will last.

Im in serious need of chinos right now and recently purchesed a pairs of RRL and J Crew chinos nearly entirely because they don’t require a tailor.

If certainly consider other

UW jacket looks like they are only vaguely aware of where Kyoto is...

I have the first Kapital piece and it's one of my favourite things.

How did you size the Kapital? How tall are you?

I sized it by trying on three different sizes in the shop and asking the sales dude to tell me how it should look! Mine is a 3, for that oversized look - I've got a 37" chest, and I'm only 5' 5"... Kapital can be very unpredictable - my Ring coat is a Size 1. I have Size 2 pieces, but these noragi / samue / shirt-jacket things, I am almost always 3.
