looks like cow dung and mud mixed together to produce that catastrophe.
I think you're overreacting. It looks different once worn. [IMG]

Yes, especially if the price is good. The leather quality on the black ones is very nice, the boots wear well, and most importantly they look reasonably good with most styles. I own these myself and they are my "go to" footwear when nothing else seems to look right with an outfit. I've been able to make them work with everything from goth ninja type looks to workwear. As long as the overall aesthetic you're going for is a little rough (i.e. no preppy RL or Vineyard Vines type stuff) these will serve you well.

Nearly any footwear will look ok when watching someone walking from a distance. My prediction is that those shoes are likely to receive lots of "I like your shoes!" type comments from your average non-stylish acquaintance. So if that's what you're after, then get them.

Varvatos sucks, but he seemed like a nice guy when he was on that lame HBO show about the guys in NYC trying to start their own premium denim label.

Jet, all you do here is make fun of others.

Anyways, I wasn't very sure of the boots. I was looking for genuine opinions.
Thanks for not letting me spend 600$.

J Crew Italian loafers...with black rubber-looking soles. Would those get me any mileage in the thrift trading thread, or are they better left alone?

(Hmm... Middle-eastern-looking headgear and a gun holster. *Always* a good nighttime option).
