    pricy... but worth it?

would it fit in your current wardrobe? an item like that requires more julius to look good.

To kop or not to kop?

really dude? They're fucking desert boots. They look decent, but are ubiquitous as fuck. If you like them buy them.

And please don't reply to this post asking if those desert boots will work well in NYC winters.

I wouldn't, but they're ok. In my opinion, if you're going to go with suede it should be a lighter color to create more visual interest. Regular leather will probably be more versatile and will age better than suede as well. Shell cordovan even more so. Judging from the picture, it seems like you may prefer a more classic look. I'd recommend the alden longwings or ptb's, tricker's, or some allen edmonds (leeds, macneil). If theyre too expensive new, ebay is always a good place to look. I just bought a pair of allen edmonds leeds in #8 shell for a little more than $200 that should look great in almost any setting. Anxiously waiting to receive them.

^^^^ I second the lighter color. Don't think they would work very well with jeans.

Anyone taken any shit for wearing those newfangled red-soled wingtip/buck/frankenstein concoctions? Like those Grensons. Those look really nice, but all I hear when I bring them up IRL is, Ooh, maybe if you were GHEY. (Concerned middle-aged female variation: Ooh, but won't people think you're ghey?) Unfortunately, this has been a theme, lately, as I try to expand my sartorial horizons. Effing RACISTS!
