Mine are pretty slippery on ice. The rubber sole doesn't provide much traction.

I sized down .5 from my sneaker (vans) size. Probably could have sized down a little more, but it is nice to have a little room for thicker socks.

yeah. f+bs are not even close to being snow boots, although they're the closest i've got [IMG]

definitely slipped a couple of times wearing them...

with patience you can get a pair of F+B < 200

This. I got my suede F+B in near new condition off ebay for like $110.

Also, to what other people said re traction - Mine have a partial rubber sole over the leather, but yeah, its still not that great for traction... actually totally slipped on ice and fell on my ass the other day wearing them...Fuck businesses that don't salt their part of the sidewalk[IMG]

I have the plum with the whiter reverse fair isle crew neck and the piece is really really nice. I was thinking about the cardigan, but couldn't find the same version in the cardigan style. I think the sweater itself looks really sharp and distinct in the lighter fair isle pattern, but the darker one isn't too bad either.

Just be aware that the pattern is indeed reversed, meaning that it is essentially inside out so you have to be cautious not to rough it up too much or the yarn may snag and over time it may pile, but it goes with the territory for a very unique knit. That is my only gripe with the sweater, other than that I vote yes.

I have one with the same problem. Already a few snags I've had to fix. Not the end of the world but it sure as hell isn't durable.

Will never understand the presumption that leather soles means no go for winter weather. People got by for a long damned time with them. I live in a snowier city than most of you and my most worn boots are OG Alden 405's. They do not slip.

Actually most of my slipping comes when I wear a traction rubber sole caked with snow / ice and step on a tiled floor after coming inside. I hate that.

    Not exactly a should I or Shouldn't I....but

Does anyone own any of the Ervell Standard BD shirts from this fall?

The Ervell website lists them as:
    Size Small - Shoulders 16", Chest 19.5", 28.5
Ok, sounds like a good fit for me

    However...

Other Stores that stock Ervell (Icarus, etc) list as:
    Size Small - shoulders 17.75", chest 21", sleeves 25", length 28.5"
Drastically different aside from length and would be huge on me in the shoulder and chest
