I am in the market of a dark wool or tweed jacket. what do you guys think of this? http://www.us.allsaints.com/men/oute...coal/mjj722-33
I like where you're going with this (the idea of getting a tweed jacket), but I don't think this specific one really works. The buttoning point goes up too high and the lapels look wimpy. I think it works well right now, in the way that heritage folksy stuff is in fashion (and so are absurdly high buttoning points, for whatever reason), but I think the look is bad and the trend will pass. Go for something with fewer buttons and lower buttoning point. Also, I personally think a charcoal jacket can work, but if you don't already have a brown or navy, you should go with something more basic for the moment. Navy and browns are richer, warmer, and more interesting colors that can feature a lot of depth. Browns in tweed are easier to find, but I've seem some really great blues as well. For $300, I say you should pass. In fact, you could get a bespoke tweed made for you for about $700, which is frankly going to be in a better color and fit you much more nicely. It'll also be something you'll hold on to longer, since it won't be cut in such a trendy way. The jacket you posted has a very "in" look now, but it just doesn't work well in the long run. The jacket looks like it's swallowing up your chest, the lapels are weak, and you'll look more like you're wearing a short coat than a tweed jacket. Plus, as softy put it, you really will look like some East Asian subsistence farmer. Again, that's kind of a fashionable look right now, as everyone wants to be a frumpy, heritage lumberjack. But you'll get burned out on the look pretty quickly.

Yes 2 is dior. Picked it up at barneys for 1100, deciding whether to keep it or not.

#2 is the best out of those. The trench you posted will be significantly less warm than the others, but a wool trench might work.

I've found WWM doesn't run large, pretty TTS. I'm an M in BoO and an S in WWM. They do seem to run a tad short though.
