1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

RCs look pretty cheap from when I saw them in store. I'd only consider some of the more interesting ones w/ contrast soles or some NDCs for more interesting leather/shape.

I'd be interested in some opinions on these Bottega Venetas...

I'm not sure if there's maybe a tad too much going on for my liking. I guess this is why I prefer half-brogues, actually. On the other hand, there's something about them that exerts a pull on me for some reason...

Still interested in opinions... ( although I'm aware that those are rather 'MC' )

thanks for pointing that thread out. do you think it'll really help with the sizing that much? side question: do tailors even touch leather jackets? or is that out of the question?

Too busy with the braiding/thick stitching/whatever that is, imo

return it, it's too big and the cut is not that nice for a moto (IMO needs to be shorter in the body).

you have to get a leather specialist for alterations, and even then there's not much they can do (e.g. can only shorten so much because of the pockets etc).

In the market for a new bag and have a bit of a Sophie's Choice thing happening, sans the Nazis and children. OK, I guess I just have a somewhat tough decision.

You can't go wrong with Billykirk bags and I really love the subtle, but noticeable distinction between the deep navy waxed cotton and black leather.

On the other hand, some of the pictures I've seen of what months of wear and some coats of oil can do for the patina of natural leather has me envisioning something pretty beautiful with the top bag. With black leather, you'll eventually see some character emerge, but it's a much longer and (I think) less rewarding end result than other colors of leather.

They're both similar in size and function (i.e. removable strap), so it comes down to aesthetic and perhaps a bit of quality.

If it makes any difference, the top one is $100 less (and actually available, unlike BK, which seems to be more or less sold out at the moment across the board).

    Thoughts?
