It's hard without an overhead pic, but the 1st one looks way better to me. The lower pic is blobby and the actual blucher part (what the heck is this called?) looks pretty cheap. Bad eyelets, too.

I really dig the top pair, but the bottom's can be had for a fifth of the price. The Yuks do seem to be bulky and heavy looking.

oh yea, remember you posting the sand suede ones now. I think the dark brown suede>>than the tan suede btw.
Black ones have a nice wax finish, dark brown ones have that awesome marbled color. I already have a pair of brown boots though, I'm missing a good pair of blacks. If I had more money I'd go for both

I like the back entrance zip, can't fathom doing those laces up each and every time. Marc Jacobs did a nice white high top with back zip which I wanted but they didn't have my size so ended up doing a rash purchase of another designer.

Like the diors, I think it can be pulled off. I'd take these over the RO high-tops.

    dior

Love those saw them a few days ago. From my limited experience Dior trainers are really good quality. Its quite strange that Kris Van Asche made a similar pair for his own line, but less structured.

Van Assche used to design for Dior - seen lots of delectable clothes in Paris and Antwerp and fast becoming top 10 designers.
