Chunkier black derbies? You should look at Grenson. Seriously, that seems to be pretty much their thing these days from the top end Russian Grain leather, Victor:

to the simpler, Curt:

And there are others.

I was always about a bit sceptical about the direction Grenson was taking, but the pair I have are the most comfortable shoes I own and they look great.

I'm looking for a classic but a bit chunkier black derbies and some obvious choices so far are dr martens, solovair and red wing postmans - also really liked evan kinori x trickers but feel the price is too high. Anyone can comment on any of these or recommend other options?
I have this one, both in black as in brown grain leather, they fit TTS in US sizing. They were sold by Rider Boot Co., when they had their shop in Richmond, Virginia.

I wish some of these options had a non-black heel/midsole/outsole, like this:

If you don’t mind paying 5-6x the price, the Kapital. Although I think the Kapital fleece is kinda meh.
I hear you. The Kap fleece is really expensive, even if proxied from Japan where it costs as much as about 66 000 yen. But vintage Patagonia Retro X fleeces like the ones @dieworkwear posted earlier are expensive as well, so the Kapital one runs at about 2x that price. Still, very expensive for fleece.

Just get a regular Patagonia fleece and draw the lines with a Sharpie.

I bought a Kapital fleece and it was too short. It was kind of like a belly shirt fleece. If I was going to get a fleece I would grab this https://www.americantrench.com/collections/fw21-to-the-woods/products/wool-fleece-jacket
Might as well as grab a Patagonia than this, unless you specifically want wool. Patagonia seems like easier maintenance (machine washable) and is pretty windproof which is a huge plus. I was fine with a Patagonia and turtleneck/mock neck under when really cold for walking dog all of last winter in nyc weather.

I’m fine with the original natural w/navy trims Patagonia that was posted and started the convo. Agree that the vintage ones look better but not sure I want to pay those prices.

I like the corduroy detailing on Orslow's Boa Fleece. Pricey though.

Uniqlo's windproof fleece looks solid, though availability seems low.
