Can't go wrong with 5" baggies. Veilance secant comp are also great summer shorts if you want something lighter and not as... baggy.
What's up with the baggies lights version then? Only longer inseam?

I think it’s just a thinner rip stop instead of the normal fabric. And yeah most of the other versions they only make in the longer inseam (lights, naturals etc).

Speaking of baggies, do you guys keep the netted liner in or cut it out?

I cut the lining out of my baggies. Pretty much wore them all summer last year. LL Bean has something similar, but 6 inch inseam and closer to a bathing suit. Nike Sportwear has a woven short that is also similar, also 6 inch inseam, and more athletic than the other two. Can’t go wrong with OG baggies IMO.

Somewhat tangentially, I do not get the hangup some people have with the 5 inch inseam. It doesn’t seem that short to me. Maybe it’s because I wear my pants closer to my hips (my natural waist is so high up my body). But I’ve seen pictures of myself in them and they look…fine? I don’t know. Certainly nothing to warrant the homophobia I’ve seen in other threads about shorts (though nothing warrants homophobia, period—but you get what I mean).

This is just not true. As someone who has been on boats a lot, I can confidently say that polarized lenses are much easier on the eyes compared to regular lenses when it comes to looking at surfaces with glare.

Why cut it out? Just to make them lighter?
It’s a mesh liner for swimming, so when you wear underwear the liner feels a bit weird and unnecessary.

my liner's still in, I don't notice it ever

also having swam in them with undies both on and off at friend's pool parties I can say the lining def does not do its job at all lol

If you cut out the liner, you effectively have two pairs of shorts.

I've been looking for a good oversized bomber for a while but haven't really found anything.
I'm not into harringtons but something about the dimensions of this mixed with the classic bomber details seems to work pretty well.

I dig it.

I personally stopped buying polarized a long time ago (I wear prescription lenses, so have to get everything swapped out when I buy new frames). However, I always get that anti-reflective coating on the back.

FWIW, my setting is mostly in an urban and semi-urban environment. No idea if it makes a difference when you're doing things like water sports.
I always remove my clothing and glasses when engaging in water sports as my dry cleaner was giving me funny looks.

Been wanting these for a while and they just went on sale from $700 to $420. Not sure they're gonna go cheaper than that new.

Want to try and work these into an SLP aesthetic. They're a little chunkier but I think they could be Wyatt-esque. Thoughts?
