i tried that valstar shearling this season and thought it was really nice. fwiw, im a 37 chest and took a size 48.

seems fine but ... also pretty boring.

Vintage is probably a better call. Not sure where to look in Philly, but I'm sure it's gotta be there somewhere.

FWIW, the Valstarino bombers fit TTS (48 = M). Truckers may be different.

Yuketen and Maine Moccasin Co, respectively. Yuketens run a prettier penny, and my heart was set on them, but willing to give the MMCs some consideration. Looking for mostly casual but occasional outdoor use.

Second ones look nicer to me. First pair has a Bean/Timberland moc vibe that I find pretty dull.

Never looked into em much, but you're far from the first to suggest it.

Didn't know they had lug sole options. I could see myself grabbing a Mountain Safari with red canvas, something like that.

I like both options and both are good quality. I prefer Yuketen, but Maine provides better value for the $.

Fit can be weird, and custom options seem to vary depending on who you talk to. I’ve a pair of upland bird boots for about 8 years and they’re great. My ex had a pair of rough-out safari boots like you posted that she was very fond of.

russell moc boots have a huge silhouette. i have a pair and like em but they're big.

btw the two posted above i like the second a bit better cause the more muted color, but both look good

The boat shoe toe box is off-putting in general.

Yeah, might be back for a bit. I had to take care of some things. Looks like this place has held together well in my absence. I might have to add a few pieces to the DL shame thread for old time’s sake; good to see it is going strong ~
