Does the heel on those taper out a little bit as it goes toward the ground? Because in that pic it kinda looks like it does, and I like it a lot.

Either way, I like those a lot.

EDIT: Found em. Confirmed that it does taper out. And that is, in fact, a sick detail. I say absolutely yes. And @Benesyed , let me know if you decide "no", because in that case I'll buy em for myself. :)

EDIT EDIT: Oh. They're faux suede though. That's a bit of a bummer because the design on that sole throughout really is great. Not sure how I feel about them as a whole now.

Right. Looks totally vegan...the sole is rubber, too. They sure fooled me on that one...I'm sure it's more obvious in person, but the faux leather stack on the heel is very well done.

I'm legitimately curious how they'd wear in over time. If there's any brand to buy faux suede from it's that one...they know it better than anybody else. And it's possible high-end faux suede is nicer stuff than I give it credit for. At the very worst, for that price you'd have a boot that is going to look seriously good for a couple seasons...and for all I know, maybe longer than that.

I say go for it.

alright dudes, i come to you for advice (as i often do). my wedding is a little more than 2 months away.

it's an outdoor, summer wedding and i am expecting it to be relatively hot. my groomsmen will be in lightweight navy blue wool suits with brown shoes.

i am trying to determine what i should wear and i am on a budget. i came across the following options from J. Crew/JCF.

seeking advice and insight.

Oxford Cloth ~$155 all-in:

Linen (but apparently lined) ~$180 all-in:

Cotton-linen blend, unstructured ~$265 all-in:
