The aesthetic looks like it has borrowed the "checkered flag" in track race circuits - not the chess board.

The red cords work with the attention pulling "stop red".

Any specific stores or brands in Japan I should check out for eye glasses?

Masunaga! Presumably they have a store there (I've never been) but my daily drivers are Masunaga and I love them-beautiful acetate frames.

That jacket is almost so good. The color is nice. But the weird beige / yellow? cuffs and collar, ehhh. But I will always enjoy a nice orange jacket but pass

@cyc wid it , I dig it, and to @g transistor 's comment, I wouldn't have noticed the cuffs had they not been pointed out. It's cool but it's not obnoxious, got a bit of a workwear vibe but still has nice details.

I probably don't need it. And I've already got more than enough truckers. But I keep coming back to this thing for reasons I don't entirely understand.

I really like that, but just FYI, I think the fit is oversized. Could be a good thing, although I haven't tried it on. If it's not final sale, I say give it a go.

    What is it?
I’m looking for a suede or leather but labels I’m into don’t really make them much and I don’t like most DRsnor the silhouettes most leather jackets come in.
Truckers or maybe a 5-zip though...

I like it except for the snaps. To me, they give it a kinda corny clothing startup making “modern luxury essentials accessible” type of vibe, even though the rest of Deveaux’s stuff doesn’t necessarily have that look.

I haven't tried it on, but I feel like the fit doesn't give off that vibe
