Agree on the burnishing, but you should be able to lessen/remove it with a suede eraser & brush.

Is that burnishing or just the lighting?

Are those the ones from Barney's? If so, be aware that they have a really elongated toebox. I bought a pair of the taupe ones a while ago and ended up returning them because I didn't like how pointy they looked from above. YMMV (obvs) if that's what you're looking for.

overly elongated toeboxes only matter when your shoe size is 46 :foo:

Isn't there a picture of :foo: where his shoes look absurdly long because the photo is distorted around the edges? I'm not clever enough at the internet to find it.

I have a pair of Buttero sidezips I got from NMWA. They look fine; I just don't know if this is the same model.

    I'm a 45 =(.

I might have the same ones from NMWA. If so, these are a different model. Agreed that the NMWA ones look good, even in clown shoe sizes (I'm also a 45).

Chester Mox can make that custom.

Leathers are on the dressier side of things, but I use Barenia card case with everything. Barenia is a natural, relatively "raw" kind of leather that patinas easily. You often see it used on things like LV bag handles.
