1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Hmm I like the colorway, and they added a zipper which was the reason I sold my old pair, but I wonder if they're too boring

I kinda like them. Somewhat like CP Bball hi's but with less branding.

I feel like they'd look a little better in all white, but YMMV.

What about a leather MA-1? Does anyone like these or does the inherent bag bagginess/puffy nature of a MA-1 look too sloppy in leather?

I'm having the same problems but with a silk McQueen ma-1 I bought.

Not sure how to style it, fits great in the body but the arms are really long, not sure if it's meant to be that way to simulate the puffy effect, but it all stacks towards the cuff.

I've just been flipping the elastic cuff up once to shorten the length to a neat fit.

So I've been somewhat interested in picking up these ETQs, but the fact that they've lasted so long at multiple stores means the rest of the world probably think they're fug. What's your take?

fug is part of the appeal of so many hyped designer sneakers, I like the hefty sole of etqs but... I dunno I kinda just always pass on them in favor of something wit more character and more fug.

There is always a better option than chukka-anything.

In a perfect universe they would not exist. :stirpot:

Even the serial number is trying to hide in shame.

(The navy suede would be nice in a low-top or maybe slip-on, though, IMO.)

I like 'em. In my experience, I go one down from your Achilles size.

I have always thought that the suede chukka looks pretty cool with cropped pants or trousers, and is otherwise kind of uninteresting.

Debating whether or not this just looks outright tacky. Would I be able to wear it easily with some black/blue jeans?

Tacky yes, but in a Mountain Equipment Co-op kind of way (I don't know if that means anything outside of Canada) and still wearable if it's your style. That guy is making it work.

It looks like polyester fleece, though, which doesn't always keep a nice hand after a few washes.

Cav empt seems best left for people going full on third eye open japanese streetwear/ militant anime character look. The-Arm on here and the dude who made thirdlooks.com would be a good start to see how to style that there flece pullover. As for the term tacky and its relation to the fleece It's just something you gotta feel dude, I mean I think raf velcros are really tacky but how am I going to feel when I see someone wearing them.... enviously tacky.

I like C.E. a lot. That fleece looks good to me and I don't really know where "tacky" would fit to describe it.

House Of The Very Island's. Really into the idea, but worried it'll come off as some bad 80s stuff irl
