1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Interestin; I would assume that sleeker = better (and less like nurse shoes, which I think of as being clunky, like Crocs or something).

The main difference I see between these and other slip ons I've been looking at (with the same sole) is that the vamp is a little longer. I think this is what makes them feel narrower, which doesn't work for my wide feet and makes the almost look like hotel slippers on my feet (just from the top/front). Could just be pictures though, but that's what it's beginning to seem like. Probably gonna have to return my pair..

So they come up further on your foot toward the ankle, if I understand correctly? That actually sounds kinda nice to me.

Alright, fuck it; I'm getting a pair.

I measure a 13 on that metal slider thing. Size 12 Greats fit me comfortably.

Yea I think they work well for some people - just feel a little too pointy/sleek/streamlined for the laid back vibe I was going for. Unfortunately there's not a lot of alternatives (W+H, CP) I can find in my size right now so I might be out of luck for an alternative

What would you guys recommend as a first expensive ($200 for me cuz i'm poor AF) piece to buy? Looking for something classic that won't go out of style.

Try a good pair of sneakers first? I would go for shoes on limited budget as these can be worn on daily basis.

Geez, how tall are you? I'm 6'1" and only a 12 on the metal slider thing (maybe a hair over since my feet seem to be getting bigger as I grow older :embar:)

I'm hoping an 11.5 will work for me based on their advice to size down by 1/2.

Thanks for the sizing tips. I suppose it'll come down to choosing between these two for me:

W+H suede: a little lighter in real life, about $30 more than the Greats

Greats natural leather: might be good for me to buy a leather sneaker for once. I've always bought more suede and canvas cause I never liked creasing on sneakers

Tbh I already have 2 pairs of sneakers I'm really pleased with. Maybe a coat or a sweater or something like a John elliott or Alexander Wang hoodie? Something basic really.

Then maybe assess what you need instead of just saying you have $200 to spend on anything.
I don't think you're going to find any nice coats for $200, of course it depends what you think of as "nice".

I like the blog well spent and they've introduced me to corridor shirts. Delivery / import and not knowing sizing have made the admiration always from afar

But just spotted a cannae German supplier (gotta love our tuetonic friends)

    https://franzundemil.com/spring/820/corridor-indigo-waves

Which in turn made me discover this, which I believe in young persons vernacular I would call 'dope'

    http://www.trueffelschweinberlin.co...hree-animals-slim-fit-cotton-shirt-azure-blue

It's a brand I've not heard of before.

So should I buy either or both

The alternative is some seh kelly shirting which I can at least try on first

    Thanks
    Richard

A house, probably in the vicinity of Port Richmond / Kensington, Point Breeze / Newbold, or Pennsport / Southwark.
