i can't get over how lifeless the leather looks. looks like cotton or something from far away.

That's why I like it though. When you have an armor-like DR it looks too biker for me, this is really understated. But, after seeing it look awkward on a bunch of models it's totally not gonna fit

The toj DR works really well for some people but it's very much a biker jacket. Even the minimalist ones. I think because the leather's so thick, even lamb, but maybe it looks different in person idk.

Oh come on man, you know better than to push ToJ on everyone who wants a leather jacket regardless of whether it'd actually work for them. There's a certain appeal to the floppier Rick stooges, some geller jackets, this one, etc that use thinner leather.

Granted, after looking at more pics I'm not really sure I'd want that jacket and certainly not for $2k.. I'm just saying that a toj isn't a good substitute.

I'm not talking about buying a Toj over this -- I'm just using its leather as a material example since many here have handled one, it's the one I know the best, and it's easy to find pictures for reference.

im not sure how this lim fits compared to the woven sleeve DR from last season but it was on the boxy side-which looked really nice.
leather was heavy duty. hardware was chunky too.

like the red ones shah :slayer:

It's a jacket isn't meant to be worn fitted. If you get it, just make sure it fits in the shoulders and just wear the hell out of it.

I kind of like a lot of philip lim. Looks very easy to live in, I guess - the loungewear pieces, at least. Sort of fun, maybe. I don't own any, but my girlfriend has an incredible silk multi-layered floor-length dress that looks like a seashell and is amazing.
