1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

So 20% nylon is bad? I hate polyester as much as the next guy but I haven't really found many 100% wool blazers in my price range.

Dunno what you mean by "bad". You haven't looked well enough because many times 100 wool blazers are cheaper than blends. 'Top' designers usually get away with charging more for blends than 'non-top' designers do for pure wool.

I have a couple of Barena jackets that are an 80% wool/20% polyamide blend. My understanding is that the PA is added for durability. I like them, although I prefer to wear them with a collared shirt since the wool can be a tiny bit itchy.

100% wool is generally a CM preoccupation - wool being the classic cloth for mens suits. Many (maybe most) designers experiement with different materials to get different effects. Armani, as an example, doing some pretty cool stuff back in the 1980s.. While I would personally not consider polyester in a suit for work, I wuld buy a casual blazer with it if I liked the styiing.

Buttero cowboy boots. Been looking at Lucchese for some cowboy boots but these look very nice.

    Yes, yes, maybe.

I like Buttero, but I'm not entirely sure about the toebox shape. If you're specifically going for the pointy-toed western look, I guess they're fine.

I'm new to blazers, any comments? My gut says this is pulling at the waist (can it be let out?) and the proportions are maybe off, with too little distance between the pocket flaps and the bottom of the jacket. [IMG]

there's a bit of a collar gap going on-- maybe invest in 5 or 6 necklaces to fill it out and you'll be fine.

the fit isn't bad, but the blazer isn't that nice. the pocket position is definitely really low and it makes the jacket look cropped in a bad way.
