1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

White blazers can look supercool, they "just" have to fit perfectly and have a sharp cut

then again 99% of the time the above requirements aren't met, so I guess I agree with what mikey said, in general atleast

there's a place for white blazers, but it's not on notwithit's body

edit: well, maybe if you switched to a parkeresque mod fit for a day? but not with your usual getup.

Hmmm...think a linen one could look cool with some loose, flowing trousers.

Synthese, btw what colorways did the Cloak AW04 hoodie come in? I have it in the purplish colorway, but it's amazing enough to look for it in others.

By purplish, do you mean the grey/purple thing?

It's possible I'm imagining things, but it may also exist in black. I don't really know.

Boots. Just basic black boots for streetwear/casual (I don't do sneakers/trainers unless I'm legitimately working out).

Looking for quality but not flashy or formal (no wingtips nor colors)

Just quality boots that go with jeans or cords for daytime/nighttime hanging out or running around.

    I got these yesterday
    http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/florshe...ferralID=05cc75a0-56dc-11e3-9f1f-001b2166becc

the quality seems ok, comfortable, good stitching, but what do I know about boots (other than buying dozens of pairs lol).

Opinion request: anything with a little something (these are ok, just nothing grabs me and says "you love this boot") that's along these lines?

Other boots I've looked at: wolverine 1000mile (just feels TOO much like a "work boot", am I wrong?), various boots that look too formal or too cheap.

I want a little rock-and-roll, but not over the top basically.

    Thanks for any assist!

Well, that sweater is 9 years old now. A lot of it hasn't aged particularly well.

I feel like the drama of it all works better on statement outerwear, on a hoodie it just rubs me the wrong way I guess. I dunno. I should shut up.

nah, you're spot on, at least with that piece. it reminds me of 2007-2008 when I was into over-designed hoodies, b. son, mike & chris, nicholas k, etc. now the brands that still make that stuff seem weirdly quaint.

I got these off CrookedTongues for $120 shipped. Wouldn't pay more than that. Still trying to figure out how to wear them.

Which ones? I have a silent scarf that doubles as a bag, and it is tube shaped.

    This one.

As far as I know it does not double as a bag.

hahah… I do like white or cream blazers (and suits). [IMG] I think they can look pretty good in diff modes: lounge lizard, beachcomber vagabond, mod, minimalist. but they are kind of a statement so you gotta own it. I have a Caruso that I wear like synth here.

that jacket above looks super tight and just sort of a blah cut. notwithit, you might try a more unique cut to go with your other clothes and slightly looser fit -- youve got the frame to pull off a variety of styles imo.
