1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Ok I've done a ton of searching for good Chukka boots/Desert boots and have narrowed it down to three.
Would love to know your opinions or experience on/with any of these:

    Loake Desert Boot:
    http://www.selectism.com/news/2009/0...r-desert-boot/

    Alden Chukka:
    http://www.theshoemart.com/cgi-bin/c...UEDE&rpro=1492

    Crockett and Jones Chiltern:
    http://www.pediwear.co.uk/crockett/products/253.php

    http://www.charlesclinkard.co.uk/sho...suede-boot.htm

Though I really like all three of these I think I can only go with one. So which one do you guys think is the most versatile? ie: dressed up and dressed down? Oh, and by dressed up I don't mean the hipster way: cuffing up jeans and showing them with a cute sock. I mean more something like some clean denim (acne mic in raw) worn normally with a white oxford and maybe even a jacket.

Would love your opinion on any of these.

Hi guys, this is my first post so if it's in the wrong section then please take it easy on me. [IMG]

I've just started looking for some fall clothing and wanted an opinion on a couple things. I've never been a fan of the short double breasted pea-coats, so what about this wool overcoat as a substitute?

This looks nice, what brand is it, where is it for sale?

MOMA makes nice boots, true to normal boot sizing with lots of room in the toe. I like my pair except that the sole squeaks.

thanks, I'd jump on them but they are only left in an 11, so I'm not sure if a half size up from what I normally wear would work(sometimes I even wear a 10 if they run a bit big, eg chucks)...$140 at yoox if anyone wants them, seems like a steal

It's just Kenneth Cole, I saw it on the bluefly website for around $200.

I'd say no, I think the pocket flaps look ugly and those lapels look like a failed attempt at a semi shawl collar.

I like it to an extent, but it's a bit "overdone" and I think you can do better at the $400 price point

^ Depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a modern silhouette then yeah I suppose you could do better, but if what you want is super authentic repro with painstaking attention to details, then its about as good as it gets. shaftoe, I'd get it if I were you. Was thinking about it myself later on as a winter jacket. If you pick it up, post pics [IMG]

Get the W+H. Much better F/W option IMO.

That actually isnt a bad idea, people can use us a opposing sides of the spectrum. So when some happy dude asks if he should by a frilly corset, and I say hell no, and they trust your tastes more, they know what to do.
