Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)?

I'm looking for a Fall/Winter jacket and I'm digging some Barbour jackets. Do you think this Barbour Microfibre Polarquilt will look good with an OCBD, jeans and Palladiums or Red Wings? I'm also torn between olive and navy.

I've heard bad things about H by Hudson quality. KG's, I have no idea tbh.

I can say from experience that Christ Wedge soles are not great for winter wear (very slippery on ice). For winter you want a lug sole imo. Here's a couple decent looking pairs under $200.

this sole is killing it for me. way to heavy. i would like to have something that is nice quality but not obviously a working mens boot ( or at lease sort of special like the thorogood).

They look great to me, but I also have a thing for western boots. I'm pretty sure you'd have to have a wider hem (> 8") to fit your jeans over those.

About this hem thing, in my very limited experience with those MMMs I've never found it to be a problem, the shaft is very soft and slouchy (it doesn't stand straight on its own as the stock pics would lead you to believe). If you look at the MMM shows from 08 or 09, I'm not sure which one, the hems are not particularily wide and the jeans are mostly worn over the boots. .
