Yeah I realize I look dumb in those pictures (also an abomination of the human race in real life) but after thinking about it I really won't wear that varsity nearly as much as I would want to. Just too many jackets going on, and I need more actual suits and shit come fall, and this one is just fantastic. It's like a cool speckled tweed, and despite my resemblance in appearance (and actions) to Barry Zuckerkorn, made me look really fucking good.

Also I found where I can buy it for $700 shipped so I think that settles it. I think it'll be super versatile for the fall for me.

Ahem, is this a reply to my question? My previous post hasn't surfaced here yet due to the fact that I'm "new" here.:embar:

    YES! get it
I have a plaid pullover anorak from Marc Jacobs and I use it a lot during the spring and early fall. For spring, I wear it over a nice crisp button down shirt, during the fall, I wear it over a sweater. It's quite versatile when you just want something easy & casual for going out to do errands and stuff. the color is great and the kangaroo pocket is also useful to put like your wallet and iphone and the slanted flap of the breast pocket is a nice detail too.

My vote is no, warren. That huge front pocket looks pretty bad, and would look even worse and ruin what could be an otherwise nice silhouette once you started stuffing things in there.

I think there should be a "Tell me what I want to hear" thread. Because too many people come in here under the pretense of seeking an honest opinion when that's not actually what they really want.

    pls comment on jacket fit.

I am thinking about sizing up to provide room for layering (sweaters etc), although that might make it look a bit big. Would it be a mistake to size up?

before you ask about the collar, it is a funnel neck.

I think it looks good, but does it feel good? Does it restrict movement or anything?

It might be a bit constricting with layers but sizing up will throw off the fit, mobility is overrated.
