It's not going to fit you nearly as well as it does in that photo. [IMG]

    Eh?

+1. Most J. Crew pieces do not fit anywhere near as trim as their photos imply. The actual pieces tend to be far baggier.

I used to wonder if their marketers/stylists had the gall to fraudulently represent their product by using special tailored pieces in their photo shoots. Then about 3 years ago J. Crew answered my question by accidentally placing this picture on their web site....

Most likely not, it is unfortunately (dont know how common is it other places) known that J.Crew uses pins to make their clothes appear more fitted. /edit, i even think that the picture above is from Jcrew

Does anyone have any experience with this brand? Been looking at that biker, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of info about the stuff anywhere. (Yes, I'm poor.)

many places sadly but just think that with tailoring the picture won't be a lie!
Yes. Would have copped the blue one if they had my size.
Would have picked up any color if they had my size (44).

Thanks for the heads up Re. the tailoring issues J - Crew have.

So with that seemingly being the case, can anybody recommend a company with nice, fitted trappers/jackets, that won't break the bank? See my original post for the style I'm going for.

These would be my first wingtips. Can't get nice AEs or anything being a college student :/ For $70 at amazon. "Johnston & Murphy Brennan Nubuck" [IMG]

Prefer the longwings to these... But that seems like a pretty decent price for Johnston & Murphy's (which are far better than a lot of other brands out there today!) But I say go vintage and used, and try to cop some shells. for under $200 you can get some shoes that would run you about $500-600 new today. but you better not be my size, cause then I take it all back!!!

Should I pick up the QS Zipper Blazers? White with a blue zipper. Only pics I could find come from Kloop so I can't link them.

    http://www.kloop.com/products.aspx?P...iskazbah=False

^^^ have to fix the link

That toe looks awful, vintage'd ones are shaped better. I've seen them without the yellowed sole at the mall if you're not into that
