Have you asked the seller why they're selling it?

    I hate this question.

I guess it serves no purpose, and it really is non of buyers business.. And really; if it was because of some bad quality of horrible profile in real life. Do you think that the seller would be honest and not say something about not sizing correctly or not his style?

That's true. Whether the guy needed the extra cash, or it just wasn't the seller's style, it isn't any of the buyer's business. I think that buyers should be interested in an item's history, but like you said, what you hear is up to the seller. I have confidence that some sellers will step up to the plate about defects or signs of wear when asked, especially if there are other people interested, but every second-hand purchase is sort of a gamble.

Oh i think you misunderstood me on the quality part. I definitely do not think that buying second hand is gamble of any sort. I have never experienced a purchase where the product didnt live up to exactly what was described, of course you need to take your precautions.

I meant that if you fx. has the idea that Converse is the highest quality shoe and you get them and figure out that they are a fine shoe but not the highest - you probably will not use that as the sale pitch [IMG]

Is it a bad idea to buy this to get me through summer/fall for cheap while saving up for a ToJ MDR?

the styles are both of double riders. if you were getting a toj bomber i could understand. but two DR's might be overkill? just my opinion.
