I found Grenson Archie brogues for ~$200 from an overseas vendor. Once I figure out if I'll get killed by customs fees, I'm wondering which, if either, is a good shoe. I'd like to wear with both jeans and rivet chinos.

    There's the tan option:

And then this isn't the Archie, but it's the other color the Archie is available in:

Pretty far from S2A's usual design. I wouldn't buy a retro parka from them, just as I wouldn't buy, I dunno, black jeans from Woolrich.

Thanks - you're probably right. I'm probably getting carried away by the bargain price.

For the bags, I'm feeling number 1. Looks more versatile. Plus I can't really get a good glimpse at the second and it looks like it hangs too low.

    +1

Personally I'm a big tan fan, but the others are nice enough.

My instinct wants me to say ditto, but I think shirts with a pattern like this, in long sleeve, can be a little garish!

Congratulations on your first reply that makes sense

It is pretty far from what they normally do, but I like it. I'd say go for it IF the price is right

+1 (although I'd prefer it with long sleeves).

I actually experimented with one of the popovers a month or so ago and really like it...it's basically going to be for going on holiday to warm climates or the few days a year when Belfast reaches 20oC

Sod it, it's down to £55 at Cocosa, at that price if the construction is half decent it's too much of a steal. I like the styling and would have to pay 3 or 4 times as much to something similar from one of the heritage brands...
