OK, let me try to be a tad bit serious. As per your posts, you a musician. As stage attire, they would certainly seem to be appropriate, if that is the look for which you are aiming. As to wearing with a jeans and a T-Shirt, sure, why not - no worse than 90% of everything else folk wear.

However, as to church or any other more formal setting, I depart company. The shoes are intended to be attention getters (folk will differ as to whether in a positive way or not) and one's clothing ought not be the focus of attention in a church or similar setting.

I'm probably going to keep them-- for $30, if I wear them with even one outfit, it's money well spent. I'm just not crazy about them like I am about other shoes.

Looks like something Cobra Commander would wear in the new GI Joe movie.

I recently had drinks with a French banker who was wearing shoes almost identical to those, with a suit. WTF?! I kept looking at his feet, thinking he had a foot condition or , something.

I dont see wearing those particular shoes with a suit, unless the suit was the exact same color as the leather, and you wanted to make it more casual.
