I just got a pair of apc rescues today, my first pair of premium raw denim. I was wondering if I should hem them before I start wearing them or just wait until after like 6 months when I first wash them because they are pretty long.

Why not? My NS stacked well when I got them. Of course, I wore boots with them alot more then.

I've had my Rescues for a little over a year now. I've soaked them maybe four times - hot water, air dry. While they do regain close to their original fit, the inseam hasn't gotten noticibly smaller. I'm thinking of getting them hemmed; I always assumed once you got them wet they'd shrink so much you dont' need the cuffs... so cuff if you like the aesthetic, otherwise get them hemmed. I think the leg opening is too big to really stack them well, but your mileage may vary.

I dealt with the same decision a few months ago and decided to hem mine.

BTW...the inseam shrank about 1.5" after a warm wash and line dry.

Because the Rescues aren't NS? Rescues don't taper.

I'm facing the same issue with my new APC Hipsters (my first paw of raw denim). Seems like there's a bit of conflicting experience here as to whether or not the inseam shrinks. Will it shrink from a washing but not from a soak? Should I do a brief cold soak at least before I take them to get hemmed?

If anyone wants to outline the necessary steps for me, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, general info is helpful. I'm assuming that all APCs shrink pretty much the same.
