I feel like I'm not being the best Democrat I can be unless I subscribe to the New Yorker. What to do?

If you're already a committed democrat then don't waste your time. I know...there is nothing like the party circlejerk.

Get a subscription to National Review of something like that. It'll challenge you, Conne

Biased, but I still think worth reading.

In any case, for liberal publications I must prefer the Atlantic although I pick up TNY now and then.

I find the New Yorker shallow and pedantic.

I used to read the New Yorker pretty religiously in the late 90s. There were some amazing stories about the most interesting people, and their struggles literally made you cry. There was one about a guy who chased giant man eating/ship killing squid I remember quite well.

After the goracle lost it was all, as mentioned by others, bush bad evil monkey haliburton.

Sad really.

It's like Jeopardy; all information all the time. Very good.
