Should I call or just get rid of this girl?

(Yes, another of those threads)

I've asked her out on friday, but we eventually ended up with some others and went to a place. Barely anything happened, and she was really tired aftwerwards, so I just dropped her off at home and drove away. She did look interested even though I suppose I pretty much fucked it all up.

She's having an exam this coming Wednesday and is leaving for a week on Thursday. Should I ask her out again for an aperitif on Wed. evening or move to the next one? Thoughts?

This. I don't believe heavily in the necessity of a "proper" amount of time between asking her out. As long as it's appropriate and not desperate, go for it.

In this case. Go for it. What's to lose?

when asking her out, don't use the word "aperitif". and don't use it during the date either.

Seriously, especially if it's an evening date for after dinner, then he should be having a digestif.

Cool, I know what to do next. Thanks for the input.

Why all this hate for 'aperitif"? How do you call drinking before having dinner?

Why do people make rocket science out of it?

I'm still finding my way towards alpha male-ness. No worries though: I will try and exude confidence -- she won't be able to resist my bad boy attitude and charm.

Also, I actually built and flew a model rocket so I have a feel for it

What the fuck? Aperitif? I don't know any girl under 35 that would be remotely interested in that. Give her a call on wednesday and ask if she wants to hang out for a few drinks to mellow out after her exam. Treat it has a happy hour or something and then if she feels up to hanging out late do so, but make your own plans anyway (something if she was game she could join in on or you could ditch). If you're in college, I don't know too many people that stayed in after an exam and before leaving school for a trip. If she takes a rain check tell her you will set something up when she gets back. NExt time you hang with her in a group or alone man up and engage her. Edit - Just read through the thread, call whatever you are asking her out to what ever it is meant to be. No lame code words. Aperitif only works in certain company or if you are trying to be cute. PS - Let us know what happens.
