Going to be near Shanghai for a period of 5-6 weeks. Anyone know of anything interesting to check out?

Bespoke shoe makers?
Tailors? (Is WW Chan Shanghai cheaper than WW Chan HK?)
Whorehouses? (just kidding)

The Chan Shanghai shops are less expensive than HK, especially with certain fabrics - Italian. I believe there are minor differences between the products, but the Shanghai stores cut a good suit, and I have happily recommended a couple friends to them.

If you can source your own yarn, there are cheap knitters available. Have not tried this.

try and find where there is a local fabric market there you should be able to a suit for around RMB 500 but make sure you tell them how you want it not how they will make it, esp the minor details i will try and ask my sister-in-law as she is based in SH so i will ask her in doors to find out!
