If you're looking for a delicious and fairly quick lunch, eat at the first floor cafe in Bergdorf (women's). The chicken salad sandwich is out of this world.

You don't need a car to go to Woodbury Common. There's bus service from Port Authority on weekends, holidays and major shopping days like days after Thanksgiving and X'mas. The bus is usually full cute Japanese tourists travelling in pairs.

Actually the bus run by Coach USA run daily, almost around-the-clock.

Serendippity the week between Xmas and New Year's is an absolute zoo. Being there right at opening is a good tactic, otherwise plan on 2+ hour waits. but you can always go across the street to Bloomingdale's to kill some time.

Be warned that the area around Saks is unbelieveably crowded that time of year!

The Mango Curry Chicken Salad available in the Cafe of the Men's Store (3rd floor) is fantastic.

My favorite, Turnbull & Asser, is on 57th Street between Madison and Park Avenues. Sweaters, ties, accessories and, of course, Simon will be pleased to take your shirt order. The top floor is a Crockett & Jones department.
