This is a cross post because my wardrobe is half mens clothing and half streetwear and denim. Interested in not only suiting and dressier looks but also my APC, uniqlo etc so thought I'd post here as well.

Hi Gentlemen,

I'm flying into the US for about 5 weeks this coming Monday. I have 15 nights on the East Coast (one night in Boston following a Sox game and one night in Washington, the rest in NYC), then 7 nights in San Francisco/2 nights in Yosemite, 3 nights in Las Vegas and 5 nights in LA (not booked yet but hopefully in West Hollywood).

I'm travelling with a good buddy and we're mostly backpacking (very un-SF I know), although we are staying in hotels in Washington and Vegas.

I know there are various posts about shopping in NYC/eating in NY/shopping in LA etc (and I've printed a few out - Mr Moo's NYC thread, a cheap eating in NYC thread) but I was hoping to consolidate opinions on all of the places I'm visiting in one thread.

Where are good shopping spots in each city? I know NYC will be easy enough - I know Woodbury Common, I know Century 21. I know the Vegas outlets and the Grove in LA and Rodeo Drive - even if it is just for a peek.

How about cheap(ish) places to eat in each place?

How about good day trips? Is a trip to the Hamptons worth it, for example?

Most importantly, good bars for my buddy and I to enjoy your fine women's company!

Also, places of interest, particularly if they are slightly underground. I mean, I'm definitely going to check out the Met, MoMa, Guggenheim etc but I really like slightly edgier stuff - Ryan McGinley, Ed Templeton, artists like that. Where do they show? Is SF good for that sort of stuff?

Basically, if I'm coming to your city, what do you recommend? What do you consider a must see?

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Thanks Whodini, checked out Pink Pantster's map. I acknowledge some of the info is out there but was hoping to get it all in one place. Also, couldnt find anything at all on Boston, not much on San Fran shopping wise not to mention not much on the artists side of things.
