Does anyone have any suggestions for a good pair of shoes to wear with a light tan or khaki linen suit? I'm lost and am thinking definitely a pair of brown shoes, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

TIA

light Khaki works well with either brown or black shoes.

I think a kakhi tie-less with pastel colored shirt and brown shoes look informal cool

a khaki suit with crisp white shirt, black tie and black shoes looks more formal and elegant.

I don't like it much with light brown/tan shoes... not enough contrast.

As the tan suit is somewhat casual I'm guessing...

Alden Ravello, whiskey or cigar shell plain toe bluchers

Alden perforated captoe bal oxfords in brown or the similar
AE Byron in Brown

Alden LHS Cigar shell

AE Hillcrest tan

cognac pebble grain cazoleria harris wingtips...

among others, of course.

If the linen is light coloured, black and white wingtip spectators work very well. Esp if you are including a blue shirt.

If you are wearing pink or lilac shirts, I would stick with the brown/tan family. Specs are still an option.

Well I've got some great shoe ideas, now I have to actually find a suit, which I seem to be having some difficulty doing considering my rather low price range (anything under $200 is acceptable, I'm not running on too much cash). Does anyone have any suggestions? I am around a size 40R.

Not to hijack, but what about a blue and white seersucker? I have a doublebreasted seersucker from saint andrews and I was thinking C&J wingtips in antique tan . . . thoughts? The doublebreasted cut makes the outfit a bit more formal looking, so I'm not sure loafers or white/suede work with it.
