Hello everyone,

I am brand new to this forum and website. As you might have discovered from my name I lack style and commit the seven "sins" of fashion (if you will), yes, including wearing socks with sandals, on a daily basis.

I am looking to expand my limited wardrobe to include jeans and shoes that go well. I always wear athletic attire and shoes. I would like a nice pair of shoes to go out to the club/bar on weekends but also a pair that I can wear when I just head out. I have two pairs of slim blue jeans (not skin tight).

I am 24 and am not looking to spend a ridiculous amount of money on shoes. Thanks for all your help.

Hi, I'm nearly 23 and on the same boat, but right now I'm after a pair of chukkas and chelsea boots to wear with jeans or chinos. I don't think those are bad suggestions, especially if you're sure that they are at least decent quality for the price. Are you on a budget? Try to frequent a few clothing sites, and scout around for sales periodically. A few days ago for example, I bought Land's End Canvas chukka boots at a discounted price, and it's still going even though there's only one color left:

I have almost no style and am confused what clothes you would wear the chukkas with. Could you let me know what is in your wordrobe? I am looking at the Canvas sneakers since it is summertime. Here is an example http://www.ae.com/web/browse/category.jsp?catId=cat4840024,
Thanks!

Chukkas are pretty versatile and go with most outfits - just put on some decent fitting jeans and a v-neck t-shirt or a simple button down. For some ideas, check out http://www.styleforum.net/t/27461/clarks-desert-boots, or search the WAYWT thread for "clarks".

As for reasonably priced summer sneakers, check out this thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/182388/the-definitive-sf-approved-non-baller-sneaker-thread

Sperry Boat Shoes, Chukkas, and really any plain-toe brown/burgundy shoe will work for this purpose.

Oh yeah, Indy boots, the real deal Aldens. Someday I should save up for a pair. I've got the fedora and leather jacket, but not yet the boots.

I think cowboy boots in general are cool, but I would rather save up for good quality ones, and not buy a sub-150 or 200 dollar pair that would probably look more like plastic than leather. While we're discussing western boots, are you aware of any decent qualities pairs to be had at all under 150 to 200 dollars? I'm under the impression that they're what boot enthusiasts would consider fake.

I would recommend wearing chukkas or desert boots with jeans and chinos, as well as button-down and polo shirts, personally. As for t-shirts, try a basic black or white t-shirt.

Hello, can anyone give me a link to the product page for the boots in the photo below? I love the way they look, but I can't find anything similar by the same name on Amazon.com. I'd appreciate it!

Thanks :)
