So I did a little cleanup work on the shell chukkas last night. Could have done more brushing to remove the scuffs on the side, but they look more presentable now.

Terrific results! One of the reasons I love shell so much is because regardless of the amount of abuse, the shoes clean up so nicely.

My first (good) shoe, purchased about 5 years ago, and worn almost daily for 2 years. [IMG] Nettleton long wings, not up to the level of some other shoes here, but they're getting there. [IMG]

Both pair look good, but the first pair doesn't look like they were worn daily for two years. They have aged really well.

Perhaps they look less worn because of the shoe tree pulling a bit of the folding out.

Does anyone have any photos of some patent leather shoes with character?

I have some J&M Aristocraft pumps. I'll try to take a picture this evening.

Almost 2 years later, here you go:

This thread delivers. So much more than the normal porn thread.

How "old" are those EGs? They look great.

I decided to treat myself to a new pair of loafers today--came across these from Mezlan, from Spain, said they were eel-skin.
Anybody have any experience with eel-skin or mezlan?
