I think you can't go wrong with either because the Strand is a beautiful shoe. I prefer the dark brown because I think it is a bit dressier. When do you plan on wearing it?

I like both. The dark to be dressy; the walnut for casual.

I think there is slightly too much going on with those shoes for me to really like them.

If I were still in the market for shoes like that, I'd buy both, but I prefer the bottom shoes (chili?) by a modest margin. HOWEVER, the darker shoes might be more practical for wear with most conservative business attire.

Both, with a preference for the black shoes. I'd only wear these with suits.
