I think you can't go wrong with either because the Strand is a beautiful shoe. I prefer the dark brown because I think it is a bit dressier. When do you plan on wearing it?

I think there is slightly too much going on with those shoes for me to really like them.

If I were still in the market for shoes like that, I'd buy both, but I prefer the bottom shoes (chili?) by a modest margin. HOWEVER, the darker shoes might be more practical for wear with most conservative business attire.

Both, with a preference for the black shoes. I'd only wear these with suits.

For me it would be the darker pair, but only because it would better compliment my wardrobe at the moment.

I agree though, there's just something happening there that's bit too much for my personal taste. That's not to say there's anything wrong with either choice.
