They probably use their own shoes which they sell at their Paris flagship store.

When I purchased Lanvin shoes 18 years ago at their NYC store, they were Crockett and Jones.

yeah, but lanvin has evolved into the "new dior homme" among the cognoscenti since last season.

LK and Luc are right. Since they launched the new menswear collection a year or so ago, they also started producing a small accessories collection. So, each season they'll make a few sneakers, a few dress shoes, a few leather goods/bags, etc. I'll check around and see if I can find who holds the license to produce the shoes, but in terms of pricing, they'll be about the same as any of the top-tier designers (Dior, Gucci, YSL, etc.). So, those sneakers would probably be $400 or so at retail.

That has been the trend for the past few seasons... for some odd reason. Dior did some Converse-like shoes, Comme des Garcons did some... virtually everybody did the $300+ converses. I guess Lanvin was just a little slow getting on the bandwagon.

Sorry to resurect this thread but, does anyone know who made their suits back then? They seem to be high quality.

Lanvin shoes now include such things as patent leather tassel loafers.

Back in the day, when the Bresch was young and yitzy, Lanvin had licenses for its suits and such sold in the US. The vast majority of the Lanvin suits and sportcoats on ebay are from that time, and they are nothing special. Around 1991-2, Lanvin tried to relaunch in the US with its higher-end stuff designed by Dominique Morlotti, who had preceded Patrick Lavoix at Christian Dior menswear. Unfortunately, Lanvin chose I. Magnin as its US retail outlet of choice (I.Magnin folded in 1994 or 1995).

Our own SoCal2NYC has a pair of Lanvin patent loafers.

I.Magnin's Oakland location was used briefly during the '90s as the Neiman Marcus Outlet.
