Shoes that look better w/ age?

Any thoughts on casual shoes that look better as they become more worn? I'm looking for a pair of shoes that I can beat around in and don't have to worry about it getting scuffed or dirty. I thought about Jack Purcell's or converse but I'm looking for something a bit more updated.

NO tennis/casual shoes allowed in that thread, must be leather.

wow, thanks for that link...What a coincidence that it happens to be the same title as my post. I might have stumbled on that post awhile back. If it's the same one I remember, I think it mostly applied to leather boots and such. I didn't see anything about casual shoes...
