Hello! I'm a first time poster. I am kind of sick of my bitter cold Clerks Desert boots so I've therefore decided to get myself a pair of real boots. But I have certain demands and this is were you come in. 1. They need to stand against snow, salt, water and anything that a real Scandinavian winter has. In other words, I hate it when my feet get wet. 2. I hate it when my feet are cold. Could fix that with a pair of rugger socks. 3. I'm not experiencing this now but last fall while I was wearing my Clerks my feet suddenly decided to not walk. It was like walking with a third foot or leg. That's fortunately not accuring now with my shoes from Opening Ceremony (god bless them) but I really want to walk in my boots and not just look good in them. 4. I'll wear the shoes with slimmy jeans, will not walk around in mountains or forests. Only in towns on heavy stone. I have done my homework and have come up with three shoes Wolverine Clapton http://www.grandpa.se/system/search/...&page=1&rnum=6 They are cheap. They have some kind of vintage look to them which I love. Not sure about the white sole though and the boat shape but it will probably get dusty enough after a while. Next shoe is Wolverine - 1000 Mile Boot http://www.cloggs.co.uk/invt/8075250...0875914dcc4ac5 I like ther look. Pehaps a bit too dark for my taste but they could work. Next comes my favourite (superficially anyway) Red Wing Iron Ranger Boots http://www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=759948 So which boot do you recommend for me? I have searched around this forum this morning and have found out it's probabaly essential to always wear rugger socks if I don't want to kill my feet with wounds. Is that correct? Thanks /Joakim, Sweden

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
