Shoes or boots like this, but style forum approved

Can anybody suggest a low top SHOE in black that is not dressy and would look good with jeans and a flannel, chambray or just a hoodie. I found some examples that are in the ball park and put some comments:

These are close, but something nicer

I like these, but aren't crazy about Dr. Martens because of the stitching and soles

Always liked these, but wanted something a little more round/chunky

Perfect, but out of the budget

Perfect, but don't come in black

Perfect, but don't like the soles/stiching

The silhouette reminds me of Doc Martins. You could get a pair of three-holes, of course. Also, do a search on here for "derbys"; you should turn up quite a few simple derby-style shoes. You definitely do not want Park Avenues if you want something casual to be worn with jeans.

I would hate to think what a hi-top oxford would look like. As for your question, far too vague, give us something to work with, a picture perhaps, there are so many oxfords that go with jeans it really depends on what look you want.

Well he did post a picture on topic. Just a curiosity here, maybe it's my sight that it's not as good as it used to be but I don't quite get it that's dark brown or black Oxford

The ghastly shoe the OP posted is a derby, not oxford. Btw, before asking for suggestions, always list your budget. It's obvious you aren't knowledgeable in this area so by listing your budget, we'll know what to suggest. It's pointless listing shoes that may be out of your assigned spending budget.

What I mean is, a picture of the style, not just a shoe. What you described in the first post could amount to a myriad of outfits.

There isn't much in the way of quality shoes that look like the one you posted, because that design sucks and most designers stay away from it. I would probably suggest vintage Doc Martin's (UK made) or a pair of tricker's (chunky shoe, usually with broguing, top quality though therefore expensive)
