shoes like these (sort of)

anyone know of some shoes like these that don't have the bulbous toe? i ilke everything else about them except for the little hump up front. (it's hard to see in this pic.)

I saw a pair of brown shoes similar to that with non-brogued wingtip at Barneys (i think) on sat. Forgot the make but it was a higher end shoe.

If those are Marteganis (or if not, whatever) talk to Ron Rider and see if they have a similar last without the toe thing. I have a feeling they would be more comfortable with the toe room, though. Their custom program is very reasonable. riders5r @ cs.com

I think the lighting, plus a small crease after the stitching is giving it that look. But to echo J, check with Ron. I've heard great things about his custom program, and would probably go with him if my budget stretched to his (good) prices.

that pic is from rider's website. i don't see any other lasts that i like there, only this one.

The 337s also have a bump on the toe that one could reasonably call bulbous.

They are martegani's on the 3B last am icorrect? If so have you seen the shoe in person? I own a pair on the same last and they do not have a bump on them at all. There is a crease that is from wear but i don't see a bump at all. Contact Ron he'll be able to tell you the most about the shoes plus hes great to deal with.

Yeah, I have the 3B last as well and have no bump on the front...

I think it is just a reflection and the way the shoes are angled. I would say talk to Ron. He will help you get the pefect shoe and worked with me since i have a hard foot to fit and got me into the shoe i wanted with a great fit. In Fact i'm wearing them to an interview tommarow.
