I need some help finding a good shoe to wear with my skinny jeans. I know plain sneakers like common projects or stan smiths look great and I also have chucks, PF Flyers, and some slip ons, but I am looking for something out of the sneaker family. I'm not looking for anything too dressy though (ie wing tips) and I am open to the boot option. I'm not a big fan of the skinny jean with the bulky or long shoe look, so I am after something fairly sleek.

These are my current jeans in rotation:
APC NS (not all that skinny but fairly small leg opening)
    Slim Jim Dry Black
    APC New Cure (pretty tight)

    Thanks for the help [IMG]

    Onitsukas are very slender sneaks.

Try the Charles Tyrwhitt chelseas. Not the absolute best, but better by far than anything you'll find at its pricepoint. They're one of the few boots you can wear with skinny jeans because of how slender the upper vamp and ankle area is. [IMG]

They don't look like very nice leather, but they're pretty damn cool:

I prefer a desert boot with skinny jeans, not as dressy as the chelsea IMO and very comfortable. Try clarks:

Also try f-troupe, they have some nice boots that match with skinny jeans.

I second the Clarks Desert boot recommendation. Clarks Desert Treks also look pretty good with slim jeans, IMO.

They happen to be on sale for half price too? At $147, I'm wondering if I should get one.

To be honest, I wouldn't rate the quality of the f-troup boots I own highly (desrt style boot but in leather). THey seem a bit fragile, rubber soled, but the leather is very soft almost to the point that I fear they may rip if I am not careful. I think they are damn good looking though and thats the reason i bought them (I got them from a stussy store and snapped them up immediately after trying them on with a slim leg jean)

cool, I guess you can't expect too much as the price point is pretty good.
I think I'm going to order a couple of pairs.
