I'm looking for a comfortable dress shoe for someone who is on his feet much of the day. I'm a big guy and after about an hour my feet hurt like a son-o'btch.
Thanks for you help.

No matter what shoes you wear? Sounds as if your shoes are too short. It's the most common problem.

If you can, consult a podiatric.

I'd say, it's unlikely that your problems are due to the shoe brand. Companies such as Johnston & Murphy want to sell their wares; they try hard to make sure their shoes fit almost everyone. This is why these shoes usually have lots of padding.

Pain, on the other hand, is an indicator that something's wrong. If it's not the shoe size or the width, a medical problem seems to be the most likely explanation, in my opinion. But I'm no expert.
